Underfloor heating pipe 16mm in your R Floorzz renovation floor. Quite efficient!

How does underfloor heating work

Underfloor heating on wooden floor

When you are renovating, transforming or prefab building you will mostly be dealing with a wooden subfloor or in some renovations an old light concrete floor that you cannot mill into. Yet you want to have underfloor heating in there.

Because, efficient and energy-saving heating or cooling a home today is done with a "Low-Temperature System. A heat pump is a common heat source. To get the house to a comfortable temperature with such a system, it is necessary to use as much surface area as possible to achieve this temperature with as little energy per m2 as possible.

Upgrade

So for this you use the floor. In the case of renovation or prefab construction, most floors need an upgrade in order to install an underfloor heating system in them. It is simply not possible to use cement or concrete to pour over the underfloor heating pipes. This is too heavy for wooden construction and often for old concrete buildings. Moreover, there is often no time for it either. Such a poured floor has a long drying time.

Speed and flexibility

With R Floorzz flooring systems for renovation, you can, and very quickly, too. Often within a day, out and home. One reason for this is that in an R Floorzz floor element you can work with a pipe diameter of 16mm.

This is not only very nice for the heat pump system, because a thicker pipe has less resistance. But you also have fewer groups to install than with a smaller pipe diameter.

So less work, and better flow of energy to the right place. So is an R Floorzz system thicker in height construction? The answer is no. On the contrary, an R Floorzz renovation floor with underfloor heating pipe 16mm is even lower in build-up height than has been available until now.
