Instructions

R Floorzz floor elements can be processed with standard hand tools. Cutting can be done with a hand, jigsaw or circular saw. Extraction of dust and wearing safety glasses during processing is advised. Fastening can be done with R FLOORZZ screws (self-tapping) or expanding staples.

R Floorzz floor elements must have adapted to the climate in the (dry) room where it is processed for at least 48 hours. If the boards have been damp for a short time during and/or after transport, they may only be processed when completely dry. When installing the R Floorzz floor elements, the average relative humidity measured over the day may not exceed RH = 70%.

R Floorzz floor elements meet a wide range of performance standards. To all constructions or finishing materials applied in or to R Floorzz floor elements, the supplier of these materials (contractor or assembly company) must ensure that the relevant construction part requirements in accordance with the building code are met.

Before starting to assemble of R Floorzz always consult the processing instructions. These can be download from this website.

General

Step 1 Substrate

To lay R Floorzz Mono floor elements, it is necessary that the substructure is level, straight, flat, load-bearing and constructive, in such a way that the R Floorzz Mono floor elements are fully supported and can be placed without unevenness. The R Floorzz Mono floor elements have no load-bearing properties. The structural floor must also be and remain dry.

Wooden floor structures:
Before installing R Floorzz Mono floor elements, the wooden floor must be checked. The floor must be level, fully supported and properly fastened with screws. The floor must not sag or spring. Where improvement is necessary, this should be carried out before the R Floorzz elements are laid and processed.

Stony floors:
If this floor still contains residual moisture such that rising damp is still possible, an ample (water) sealing solution must be applied here. In such a way that moisture cannot penetrate into the R- Floorzz elements. This applies to stony floors with crawl spaces as well as to stony floors which have been laid directly on the substrate, for example in old buildings.

Insulating underlayments:
If an insulating layer is applied to the structural floor, this layer must be sufficiently pressure-resistant and provide sufficient support for the R Floorzz Mono floor elements. Get advice from your insulation supplier. Please note that the R Floorzz Mono floor elements must always be mechanically fixed to the subfloor. If this is not possible and the floor has to be floating, we advise you to choose the R Floorzz Mono system. For special requirements such as fire resistance or sound insulation
other requirements usually apply for the substructure. Ask
Ask your supplier or advisor about this.
